Your first USPSA match
- You do not need a USPSA membership to shoot your first match. You will need one to be classified.
- Bring: a handgun (or PCC), a holster that covers the trigger guard, at least three magazines and pouches, 150-200 rounds, eye and ear protection.
- Tell the match director it's your first match. Every Alabama club will walk you through the safety briefing and put you in a squad with experienced shooters.
- Register on the club's PractiScore page. Find your nearest club in the directory.
Become a Range Officer
NROI certifies Range Officers through Level I seminars, usually hosted by a club over a weekend. Alabama clubs need ROs, and the Section Coordinator must hold at least RO certification.

For club officers
- Results and activity fees to USPSA within 30 days of every match (USPSA Bylaws ยง3.05(d)).
- Section club fee before 30 January (Finances).
- Send a representative to the annual Executive Committee meeting (Meetings).
- Planning a Level II match? The Section Championship is chosen by the Committee; other Level II+ matches should be coordinated with the Section Coordinator to avoid date conflicts.
- Keep your club listing current: send changes.
